Der Hammer! Ich denke, es gibt nicht wenige, die sich um den Job eines Tonbandmuseumswärters oder -warters reissen würden! Der Riho aus Estland hat so einen Job - wohl unbezahlt und nebenher, aber wer will dafür schon Geld nehmen?

Hi,

That is fun to see my links in this forum. Haven't been checked to here for a long time .
On that last link actually you can see the exhibition of the part of my collection in the autumn of 2007.
Next time I go to the TV museum, I'll try to take some new photos because some things are changed there now.

Hallo Riho,

Many thanks for your pictures; very very interesting pictures with several Types of Taperecorders, that are not in the List of my Collection of pictures (more than ten Gigabytes of around twohundredandfourty Manufacturers between 1898 and 1985 all over the world, and still not all).

So here is my first question (others will follow):
Can you find out the manufaturer of this machine (IMG4346)?
Can you take a picture of the identification plate with the typenumber (on the backside or on the ground/flipside ?) and can you take some pictures from the inner parts?

Next time I got to the museum (it happens usually few times within a month), I'll surely take the other pictures you requested .
The producer is basically the soviet union but it was made in factory of Gorkovskii, somewhere in the Russia. Actually there were 3 different models: MAG-8, MAG-8M and MAG-8MII. Two last models were using reels instead of bobby cores. I'm not sure how about the other versions but that actual machine in the museum is full-track recorder. The production started in 1955.
