Interesting, I never got a picture of an older SKC/Smat than the 1990 ZX one I have on the web, I find the shell one a bit more modern.
For Realistic Metal I've only seen a Denon or Tandy shell so far, even my 1986 Realistic Metal has an identical shell to the newer version.
But recently someone wrote me that if Realistic Metal and Denon didn't have identical tapes, but it wasn't confirmed.
I always thought the Goldstar tape was made by Denon or TDK and the SKC also by TDK, I found it suspicious that some SKC ZX have white powder identically structured to TDK metal, on SKC and Smat metal the calibration values and the sound match my
with the TDK MA, I would also be interested in more information about the manufacturing.
