Hi! Between the 1980 and the 1981 series, there do exist mixed versions of new inlays/sealings with old cassette labels, and even vice versa, for all models which were affected by the 1981 design change: ferro super LH I, chromdioxid super III, ferrochrom III and metal IV, with the metal being a bit special beyond this.
In this posting I have collected some regular and mixed combinations of what I could find so far in 1981 packagings:

All of these existed like this from factory, even those where there are only pictures of used examples. The most odd combinations are where some parts are not only from the direct predecessor, but from two generations before, like the ferrochrom III with 1981 packaging and 1979 cassette, with the cassette actually being made in 1979. Or the 1982 LH super I sealing and inlay, containing a cassette made in 1982, but with 1980 series labels sporting the old name ferro super LH I.
And yes, it's not on the pictures, but there are 1981 series grey label cassettes in 1980 series inlays from factory. I know it for sure with ferro super LH I and chromdioxid super II, and guess it should also apply for ferrochrom III.
The blue LH appeared by Christmas time 1983. First out were the large window version with oval cutout labels, so you could not see the whole window, and those in old oval window shells. The latter were mostly made in Spain. Around 1985, these two versions with original BASF shells disappeared, and were replaced by the version with Magna shells. They were available until 1986. Your Indonesian version from 1989 with large cutout on the labels had been completely unknown to me until only a few years ago. I never saw them in the shops back then, and they never show up on flea markets or in used lots from German or Swedish collections. Instead, we could buy orange LH extra I from Indonesia as late as 1988, with a 1987 production code, which is two years after the introduction of red LH-E I.
Well yeah, you could say BASF really had us collectors in mind :-))
The open Ampex 472 shell is from one of the OEM suppliers from the USA. It's not Shape, because the guide block is missing, so probably Lenco, but seeing those hubs makes me doubt again. They are similar to an old ICM design, but not the same.
For video cassettes, even if I can point out manufacturers of most original shells and recognise a few of the common tapes, my knowledge there is quite limited. I think our member Vhsmester could help you much more.
Regards
Martin
