Yes, HAM-Radio is my 2. hobby. Normaly I do not use FM, to much bandwith, not good for DX. I worked some YO-stations VHF SSB when sporadic-E was good. But FM is very interesting for local discussions, e.g. in the city and around. Here in Berlin we have some repeaters/relays. With a "walkytalky" you can have QSOs via relays in whole Berlin and some km around.
Most of my rig is homemade (antennas, transverters, amps) or bought cheaply, then repaired and improved. For SW I use a power amplifier with two tubes 572B grounded grid. Not maximum power but DX-friendly.![Smile Smile](https://tonbandforum.de/images/smilies/smile.png)
