Those translucent shells are interesting. It's pretty evident that as the years progressed and a slight modernization came about, transparent shells were such a necessity 
But at the same time, with the dark foils and the all-over sticker, it's weird again.
With the metal type IV I meant in general all brands and manufacturers. Polymer metal should be identical to the Magna metal cassette. Someone claimed to me that the tape came from Basf.
But I don't think I've ever heard of Palladium Metal.
I've always been interested in ICM metal, for example, but I guess there is no such thing except for one PDM transparent version from ICM.
Also, don't you have the complete Boots England audio cassette series? I'd be very interested in the ICM and Maxell versions. They had some fascinating covers. And there isn't a comprehensive overview on the internet.
