It's well thought out with the light, I don't have it that elaborate so I missed some details. But occasionally I have found a hint of translucency with one TDK MA model, with Video 8 cartridges, just some selected I guess TDK and Fuji, then all Hi8 ME translucency is extreme, which is a good way to tell MP and ME metal strip apart for DAT, DDS and other data formats. Even with Philips chromdioxide VHS, that's why I was very interested in the composition and manufacturing processes, but nobody could comment.
SKC is really a problem because for example they have one model of Ferro GX and one model of FeCo II QX, but tapes can vary extremely in color and translucency by batch and vintage. Not to mention the OEM SKC for other brands, it's extremely hard to get a handle on, then those affairs regarding destroying heads along with Mexican Sony.
Regarding That's, we've already addressed this in a thread, but that number only talks about the manufacture or assembly of the cartridge, but nothing about the origin of the tape used, which is what I meant to imply that shells and tape are two "separate" worlds of the manufacturing process.
My That's Suono and CDIVF are Made in Japan, the lower models from this period are GMS, but the Japanese Suono format versions are often Made in Japan.
