Man weiß es nicht, aber falls diese Beiträge von tatsächlichen Audio-Engineers stammen sollten, dann werden die ja ihre Maschinen für jede der genutzten Bandsorten eingestellt haben - und haben trotzdem Unterschiede im Klang und Sättigungs-/Kompressionsverhalten je nach Bandtyp festgestellt.
Es ist natürlich eine Frage, wie man die Dinge betrachtet, aber scheinbar wäre es nicht grundsätzlich sinnlos, erstmal eine wage Idee davon zu bekommen, welches Bandmaterial vermutlich das "macht" was man möchte, und sich erst nach der Wahl des Bandes auf eben dieses Band einzustellen.
