Revox nab adapter repair

Hi, I am new on the forum i hope someone can help!
I speak and read German but when i write.....................!!!!!

I have 2 old Revox Nab adapter in good condition but I have opened them up into top and bottom parts. i have new rubber bands and all of the small discs

Must i stick them to gather with glue or what?

It would be great to get an answer

You can use a small amount of vaseline. No glue, no mounting grease.
Du kannst eine kleine Menge Vaseline nehmen. Keinen Kleber, kein Montagefett.

I am busy with renovating a Revox a 77

I have replaced the capacitors on the drive unit and the 3 big capacities at the back, i have cleaned all points that have contact with the tape.

However i can play the tape no problem but when i try to rewind it starts fast and then gets slower and slower

Yes i am using an old tape.

If i go direct between reel to reel (not over the head) it runs fine.

if it is the tape then i will buy a new tape.

What is the best new tape available for this type of machine?
