Hello Ion, I don´t know this tapedeck, all my information was taken from the service manual. The item at the foto looks like some kind of a clutch. The "arched plate" looks like a leaf spring. The different positions of the spring may be for adjustment of the strength of the clutch coupling. In the manual from Elektrotanya there is a detailed description of the clutch, some parts are only on left or right side clutch. For grinding the ends I would take a brush with brass hair. Please do not ask me how to adjust that, I do not work on one motor tapedecks if possible, too many mechanical components. Regards, Tobias |

Now the device works normally. What is the arched plate in the picture used for and in what position should it be mounted? Is the installation done identically for the left roller compared to the right roller? I would like to receive some details and procedures for grinding the ends. With thanks, Ion |

Hello Ion, I have looked to the service manual. Before you start to adjust screw 21, you have to adjust the distance between the outer diameter of the pinch roller and the outer diameter of the capstan axle. Loosen 2 screws 20 and adjust for a distance of 44mm in Stop/Halt mode, then tighten srews 20 and measure again. The adjustment is correct if you can measure a clearance of 0.3mm or greater at point a with Play/Start button pressed. Regards, Tobias |

Hi Ion, you can go to the download area and log in again. There you'll find several documents for the TK46. Greez Hörbie |

Dear friends, For over 50 years, I have been collecting and repairing old radios. In 1958, I built my first tape recorder, which I still have today. Three weeks ago, I went to the antique fair in Bucharest and saw a TK46 tape recorder being sold by a gypsy. He was asking for 20 euros for it, but I ended up buying it for 10 euros. I think it was brought from somewhere in Germany, but its condition was terrible. Everything was frozen with zinc rust. I need your help. Does anyone have the repair and adjustment manual for the mechanical part of the TK46. I would be grateful to receive it via email. With thanks, Ion |
