I have to agree, they often copied information from big brands like Basf, I can literally see the 1992 Basf cover on that Basko one, it fits so well by design. (Also the name Basko is such a play on words, once upon a time I thought, it was a fake Basf )
We've already dealt with the idea of the Maxell XLII-S, maybe if the person in question remembers, they'll send me the cassette to try out and for the web.
The shell is like the one on the Datatex, I put that on the Slovak forum as well, but also some pre-recorded cassettes in Slovakia had this shell, the difference was in the scale.
Hubs are but very low quality.
I really believed it was made by a smaller company in Italy, or a bigger one, there were quite a few of them. For example, Magnex and its versions for Philips are still quite interesting and unknown.
I might have seen the Basko about 27years ago in some small shop near us. It was wrapped in transparent film, the shell was generic as for pre-recorded tapes, with dark foils, no printing. I don't remember anything else.
I found this one still, copying the Basf booklet is probably unnecessary to talk about
