Hello Raymond,
yes, I´ve got this spool and box in my collection, too.
It´s one of the early 15-cm-reels with large core, but it already has got a core label. Before that, in the mid 1950s, the words "BASF Magnetophon Langspielband" were stamped inside the core.
But there has also been a later version of green BASF reels, with small standard core including paper label. There are also green spools with the track numbers "1" and "2" stamped on the side.
I lost overview how many different green ones have been made by BASF throughout the years. Of course we must not forget the same different variations you may also find on AEG. Later on in the 1960s AEG even made pink reels! Have you ever seen those pink ones? I´ve got one here in my collection, as soon as our Gallery is online again, you can have a look at it.
Grundig has made green reels, too, however they are not that easy to find nowadays. There have been green spools with golden label (large core) and later on they changed to the silver/grey core labels. However I don´t know if Grundig also manufactured those handy "film tin"-reels having the green colour. Hm, who knows, may be some day I´ll get one. :-)
Best regards,
Manuel
