Ruwido Uher potentiometers question

Hello all, I have a question about the potentiometers used on Uher Report Stereo or Ic and too 1200 Report.

Why Uher on diagram of Report Stereo or Ic put the PI and PII ( pegel I and II ) inicated as 5k neg. log ?  The same on 1200, I have checked on recorder, so 5k neg. log too here .

Now I have here a pair of other Ruwido with value 5k + log , but are compatible with the negative version of Uher ? At the end are always 5k, why the + and - ?

The minus log has a more sensitivity per degree of rotation, this will be better to find the right mic input volume. The plus log did not change much on the beginning of rotation.

Ah ok, now it's clear.

But today is there a valid replacement of these old potentiometers Ruwido ?
