Excuse me for writing in English. I'm from Cyprus. My grandfather had this perfect tape recorder, UHER Variocord 263. I recently pulled it out of the attic and found that it works great: everything is spinning and glowing, just the sound is “dull”. An expert told me that playback head replacement is needed. To the eye, the head has uneven surface. I searched the whole eBay and didn't find any 4 track heads for replacement. That is, the device is working, but not as it should. And there are a lot of records on reels. Please, help me: where can I buy such a head, or at least tell me its technical specifications for replacement in order to choose a similar one in measurements and data. For me it is important to know its inductance. I really want to fix this UHER. :!:
