the green reels were quite common in the 1950s and in the beginning of the 1960s, there are different brands, e.g. BASF, AEG, Grundig and so on.

Anyway the green spools are nothing special just because of their colour, it depends on what type of spool you have. There are many different types of green spools, most varities have been made by BASF, of course. ;-)
