Hello,
I am not 100% sure how it is about the HS motors (never had one on hand), but on the normal version the capstan shaft on the B77 / PR99 is around 5mm longer compared to the A77 version.
PS: I never did it, but I suspect B77 shaft maybe will work on A77 (ofcourse the cover will be not mountable), but the opposite A77-> B77 will not work definetely (capstan too short)
